In this self grading activity, I will grade myself a 95 considering certain things. For example, in my lab report I have mentioned all required genre components which are – Abstract, Introduction and Hypothesis, Materials and Methods, Results , discussion and conclusion. i didn’t skip any part and gave a brief idea about all of it. The second part is Adherance to section purposes which means each part describes a specific role. For example,  the abstract of my lab report gave an overview idea about what is the lab report, what can we expect by the end of the lab. Introduction part talks about the specific experiment that I chose to do it and at the end it ends with a hypothesis. The materials/methods section is where I have mentioned about what tools and materials can be useful to perform this test and how can i do that effectively without having a problem. Results section mentions about what were the consequences after performing the test and what could we expect. Discussion section was about connecting the results to the hypothesis, why does it matter and how it is related. Finally the conclusion gave an overall summary of the experiment. So I think I did a pretty good job doing every part efficiently. Another reasons why I gave myself a 95 because I mantained the deadlines of this assignment. I didn’t submit anything after 11:59 pm or the next day. I took my time to actually review what my peers said about my draft and took time to make chose changes and revisions before submitting my final draft. My lab report continuosly showed appropriateness of tone and language and there was certainly clarity in my writing. I took 5 points off and gave myself a 95 because I didn’t use in-text citations. I didn’t know what else can I mention there anymore. But although I did provided a reference section at the end of the lab report using correct format and citations. So here are all the reasons I considered before grading myself.
